What You’ll Do
  • Design and develop mechanical, structural, electrical, and hydraulic systems for watercraft transport platforms.
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D models, drawings, specifications, tolerances, and engineering change records.
  • Apply sound engineering principles to ensure structural integrity, safety, durability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Design components and assemblies using structural steel and aluminum with fabrication and welding processes in mind.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, validation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and field issue resolution.
  • Partner with manufacturing to optimize designs for quality, cost, and efficient fabrication and assembly.
  • Provide practical engineering support to production, quality, and service teams.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with 3D modeling; SolidWorks experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of drawing dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Familiarity with metal forming, cutting, and welding processes for structural steel and aluminum.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • ERP data management, finite element analysis, or automotive experience is a plus.

  • FLSA status: Exempt
  • Schedule: Flexibility to work overtime or weekends before or after the regular schedule may be needed.
  • Work environment: A combination of office and manufacturing settings, including exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate production noise.
  • Physical requirements: The role may involve sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experienced with 3D modeling, preferably Solidworks.
  • Familiar with drawing dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Familiar with manufacturing fabrication process such as metal forming, cutting, and welding of structural steel and aluminum.
  • ERP data management experience is a plus.
  • FEA experience is a plus.
  • Experience in an automotive setting is a plus.
