Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Project Manager to oversee water well drilling, rehab, or pump installation projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction. The role emphasizes coordinating budgets, resources, and safety across field operations.

The ideal candidate will have a BS degree or higher and 1+ years of project management in related construction activities, plus strong leadership and communication skills to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS degree preferred.
• 1+ years of project management experience in water well drilling or a construction environment.
• Knowledge of water well drilling or similar industry practices.
• Ability to work in a high-production environment.
• Demonstrated decision-making, leadership, supervisory, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate project revenue and cost forecasting to ensure profitability goals are met.
• Coordinate with estimators and project controls to establish budget.
• Coordinate efforts with business development and operations to manage resources for schedule.
• Participate in bid review and bid closing to ensure bid accuracy and feasibility.
• Generate purchase orders, gather quotes, manage vendor relationships, and track field safety credentials.
• Facilitate communication between Superintendents and Area Manager to ensure safe, profitable work.
• Ensure proper job controls (quantities, costs, revenue, schedule).
• Develop long-term client partnerships through strong relationships with owners, agencies, and subcontractors.
• Produce accurate project reports to support continuous improvement and margins.
