Job summary

Turner Enterprises Inc. seeks a Water Well / Bison Technician at Vermejo Park Ranch in New Mexico. The role splits time between water systems maintenance and bison herd tasks, with a focus on low-stress handling and safety in remote areas.

The position requires field work, equipment operation, and some design/development of water projects to support wildlife and livestock. Housing is provided; benefits include full-time employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of related experience / training.
• Experience with livestock care and low-stress handling.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and ATVs/UTVs.
• Basic computer skills, including reports/spreadsheets.
• Must have valid driver's license or ability to obtain it within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair water systems (windmills, solar wells, water guzzlers, storage tanks).
• Assist in bison management tasks (sorting, vaccinating, feeding).
• Record repairs and parts used; manage inventory.
