Woodard & Curran is seeking a Water/Wastewater Treatment Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and personnel at facilities near Ft. Meade, Florida.

This role requires a Florida water/wastewater license, 5–10 years of experience, budget responsibility, and strong regulatory liaison skills. You will manage SCADA and maintenance programs, coordinate with regulators and clients, and lead staff development in a safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid State of Florida Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license.
• Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions.
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in managing complex water and/or wastewater facilities.
• Experience overseeing an annual operating budget of $1.5 million or more.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record with regulators.
• We cross-train to improve facility operations, job satisfaction, and job security.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations and management of all water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities with a large focus on health & safety, process optimization, employee mentoring and client communications.
• Day-to-day operations and management of a SCADA System and remote communications network.
• Implementation and management of an innovative predictive & preventative maintenance management program.
• Administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects.
• Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events etc.
• Provision of requested / required operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality.
• Participation in capital planning and asset management planning.
• Collaborate and build relationships with the client.
• Collaborate with engineers on future planning and ongoing construction administration.
• Attend council meetings and present project update presentations.
• Promote and develop staff members.
• Review development plans and permits and attend pre-construction meetings.
