Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; biology/chemistry/environmental science degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred for some locations.
• License/certification in water or wastewater highly preferred or willingness to obtain fast after hire.
• Previous water or wastewater experience preferred.
• Experience with SCADA systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pumps, valves, motors, disinfection systems and other treatment equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Inspect equipment, collect samples, perform routine testing and basic lab analyses for water quality and compliance.
• Record and maintain operational data including flow rates, chemical usage and equipment performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Respond to operational issues and emergency calls to restore service.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following housekeeping and safety standards.
• Follow all safety policies, regulations, and procedures to protect employees and communities.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related study is preferred
