Job summary

The City of Lampasas is seeking a Water/Wastewater Utility Distribution/Collection Technician to perform varied manual and machine-assisted tasks for water and wastewater infrastructure maintenance. The role involves operating equipment, performing scheduled maintenance, and staying on-call as needed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain TCEQ licenses within 3 years and CDL classifications within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to obtain TCEQ Water Distribution License Class C within 3 years.
• Ability to obtain TCEQ Wastewater Collection License Class II within 3 years.
• Ability to obtain Texas CDL Class B within 12 months of employment.
• Ability to obtain CDL Class A.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain drinking water distribution infrastructure.
• Install, repair, and maintain wastewater collection infrastructure.
• Operate medium to heavy equipment for underground utilities.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and report issues.
• Maintain on-call status.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
