Qualifications

Job Description:

In this role you will lead and drive our key projects:

1. With high-level goals provided, create water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, remediation sites, solid waste facilities, etc. engineering designs of basic to high complexity to meet client project requirements.
2. Review draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations and sign off on completed designs.
3. Ensure that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
4. Perform site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications.
5. Update design requirements as necessary.
6. Perform water quality analyses and modeling.
7. Contribute to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.
8. Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
9. Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs).
10. Review draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices.
11. Meet with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs.
12. Attend conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.
13. Perform other duties as required.
14. Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
15. Mentor more junior staff and develop them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
16. May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
2. Professional engineering (PE) license.
3. 10 years of related experience.
4. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
5. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
