McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Safety Manager to promote a proactive safety culture and administer the safety program for Water & Wastewater construction projects. You will influence teams to provide a safe work environment and oversee on-site safety actions, trainings, and documentation.

The role requires coordinating with project supervision, leading toolbox talks, managing incident investigations, and ensuring OSHA compliance across sites within the region.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing safety efforts on large construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• OSHA 500 and BCSP certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and discuss safety programs with on-site personnel and subcontractors to embed safety culture.
• Conduct safety inspections at least twice monthly and coordinate reports with insurance.
• Coordinate with supervision to ensure PPE, first aid, and safety postings are in place.
• Investigate injuries and maintain OSHA records with corrective actions.
• Enforce safety policies and conduct weekly toolbox talks.
• Record and forward safety meeting materials and directives to the Division Safety Director.
