Job summary

RK&K is seeking Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers for the Municipal Water/Wastewater group in the Charlotte/Raleigh area. You will lead feasibility studies, design, construction documents, and construction management on complex water/wastewater projects while interfacing with clients and agencies.

The role requires a BC/BE degree, 10 years of relevant experience, and a North Carolina P.E. license or ability to obtain within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant consulting experience in municipal water/wastewater.
• P.E. registration in North Carolina or ability to obtain within six months.
• Existing municipal/private client relationships or ability to develop them.
• Knowledge of North Carolina project funding mechanisms.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop project deliverables coordinating engineering disciplines.
• Provide feasibility evaluations and assess benefits of alternative solutions.
• Manage a variety of water/wastewater projects and client relationships.
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budgets across multiple utilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and build project delivery teams.
• Interface with clients and agencies to pursue and execute projects.
