Job summary

RK&K is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead municipal water and wastewater infrastructure efforts in the Mid-Atlantic, based in Richmond, VA or Fairfax, VA. You will deliver feasibility studies, design, construction documents, and construction management while nurturing client relationships.

The role requires a PE license in Virginia (or reciprocity) and a track record of managing diverse water/wastewater projects with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field.
• 10 years of consulting engineering experience in municipal water/wastewater.
• Professional Engineer license in Virginia or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• Existing municipal/private client relationships or ability to develop them.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop project deliverables coordinating engineering disciplines.
• Evaluate costs/benefits of solutions for water/wastewater projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and build project delivery teams.
• Manage scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects.
• Interface with clients, subconsultants, and permitting agencies.
• Identify and develop new project opportunities through networking.
• Support marketing and pursuit of water/wastewater work.
• Contribute to proposal development in response to RFPs.
