Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Manager to lead our Water/Wastewater team, guiding complex projects from scoping through delivery. You will mentor staff, manage budgets, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality results that meet client expectations.

You will build relationships with clients, monitor progress, and implement risk management strategies. The role emphasizes collaboration, ownership, and delivering sustainable water infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; associate degree with equivalent experience acceptable.
• Minimum of eight years of project experience in applicable field with increasing responsibility.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater services.
• Proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations through PM activities.
• Excellent client service orientation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Interpersonal skills, decision-making, and ability to generate innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develops project scopes, schedules, and budgets and tracks progress to manage financial success and timely completion.
• Manages complex contract negotiations.
• Leads execution of project plans by assembling teams, coordinating internal resources, and assigning responsibilities.
• Serves as primary liaison between all parties involved in a project.
• Monitors progress and measures performance within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manages change requests, risk, and strategies to minimize negative financial impact.
• Coordinates detailed reviews of technical work to ensure quality and contract compliance.
• Maintains positive client relationships and pursues future work.
• Documents all deliverables and maintains project records.
• Mentors and supervises staff on project management best practices using Olsson tools.
