Job summary

Olsson is seeking an experienced Project Manager for its Water/Wastewater team. You will lead complex projects, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality design and construction phase services delivered on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes client service, collaboration, and technical excellence, with opportunities to influence project outcomes and communities through effective management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; in lieu, an associate degree with equivalent experience.
• Minimum of eight years of project experience in water/wastewater or related discipline.
• Registered Professional Engineer required.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater services.
• Excellent client service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams.
• Proven track record managing scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Develops project scopes, schedules, and budgets and tracks progress to manage financial success and timely completion.
• Manages complex contract negotiations.
• Leads the execution of project plans by assembling and managing project teams, coordinating resources, and assigning responsibilities.
• Serves as primary liaison between all parties involved in a project.
• Monitors progress and measures project performance to stay within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manages change requests, mitigates risk, and minimizes negative financial impact to the project.
• Coordinates detailed reviews of technical work to ensure quality and contract compliance.
• Maintains positive relationships with clients and focuses on exceptional client service to secure future work.
• Documents all deliverables and maintains comprehensive project records.
• Mentors and supervises staff on project management best practices.
