Civil Science is currently seeking a qualified Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our St George, Utah team. This candidate will lead and manage a diverse range of water and wastewater related projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will work collaboratively with your team to coordinate and manage both engineering projects and growing our regional presence. The candidate will work with local and regional leadership to take advantage of marketing and business development opportunities in the region, expand our client base, secure new water /wastewater projects and enhance market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater projects, including treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, distribution systems, and water quality improvement.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers and technicians, to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Conduct technical reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and technical documents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to promote services and capabilities.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategies to increase market share and secure new projects.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, with a focus on project management.
  • Proven experience in managing complex water/ wastewater projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong technical knowledge in hydraulics with experience in water rights, source capacity, storage, collection, treatment, distribution, and transmission.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD and GIS.
