Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Lone Tree, CO to lead design and delivery of infrastructure projects for public and private clients. You will direct project teams, manage budgets, and ensure high-quality deliverables on time and within scope.

The role requires a PE license (CO or ability to obtain within 6 months) and 10+ years of consulting experience in water. Travel and remote project oversight are expected as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field (from Basic)
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 10+ years consulting experience in water
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional services for water/wastewater engineering projects including planning, study, design, and construction administration
  • Mentor and manage project engineers, junior engineers, and technicians
  • Maintain client relationships and develop new business opportunities
  • Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
  • Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings

The Water/Wastewater Project Manager engineer is an exciting opportunity to lead meaningful infrastructure projects that serve communities and support environmental sustainability.

Our projects run the gamut from new Water Treatment Plants, Water Resource Recovery Facilities, Booster Stations, and Lift Station designs to technicalupgrades and/or expansion of these facility types. Wedesign multiple facilities in numerous locationsand deliver technical solutions to public and private clientele. We are looking for aWater/Wastewater Project Managerwith water and/or wastewater engineering experience, an entrepreneurial vision, and commitment to providing extreme client service. The Water/Wastewater Project Manager engineerwill be responsible for the performance of project team members and will work closely with team members to provide high-quality deliverables on time and on budget to AE2S clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional services for water/wastewater engineering projects to include planning, study, design, and construction administration
  • Manage performance and provide mentorship of assigned project team members including Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, and Technicians
  • Maintain existing client relationships and develop relationships with prospective/new clients
  • Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
  • Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings

Compensation and Total Rewards
The anticipated salary range for this position is:

  • $100,000 to $130,000+
    • This salary range represents AE2S's good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, technical expertise, licensure, certifications, education, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.

Qualifications
Basic
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field

  • Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members

Physical
  • Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
