Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for our Fairfax, VA office. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams on municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects from planning through construction.

The role requires a minimum of 5+ years in water/wastewater design and a BS in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering; a PE license is preferred or obtainable within one year.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of water and wastewater conveyance and/or treatment design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering.

Responsibilities

• Leading and delivering municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities planning and design projects.
• Prepare assessment and design reports, perform design calculations, equipment sizing/selection, construction documents, and support construction management/commissioning.
• Field work and site visits from planning through construction and commissioning.

Hazen is seeking a qualified and experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager for our Fairfax, VA office. This individual will lead multi-disciplinary teams to complete planning, design, and construction-related projects within water and wastewater infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and delivering municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities planning and design projects.
• Task responsibilities will include preparation of assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, equipment sizing/selection, preparation of construction documents, and support of construction management/commissioning needs.
• Field work and site visits from planning through construction and commissioning will be required.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of water and wastewater conveyance and/or treatment design experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in project management is preferred.
• Self-starter with attention to detail.
• PE License is required or ability to obtain licensure within one year.
