Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is seeking a Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead municipal and private sector design projects across the Southeast. The role requires PE licensure and 7+ years of experience, with proficiency in Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools.

You will mentor project teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with regulatory authorities while developing client relationships and pursuing new work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• PE license required.
• 7+ years of water/wastewater project design/management experience.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD; InfoWorks WS/InfoWater preferred.
• Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong client relationship management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage water and wastewater infrastructure and process design projects for municipal and private sector clients.
• Lead project teams in construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Oversee hydraulic modeling and system analysis with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWorks WS/InfoWater.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders such as water authorities.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget to ensure on-time delivery.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance development for project staff.
• Monitor progress, resources, and financial performance using project tracking tools.
• Support business development and maintain client relationships.
• Ensure projects are delivered within scope and budget.
