Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Project Manager (or an emerging PM) to support and lead delivery of water, wastewater, stormwater, and infrastructure projects based in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for an experienced PM who can serve as the primary client contact and manage delivery end-to-end, or a technically strong engineer stepping into project management with mentorship and a clear path to ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of water, wastewater, stormwater, and infrastructure projects in Phoenix, AZ.
• Serve as primary client contact and manage scope/schedule/budget.
• Provide technical leadership across disciplines and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and support staff development within the discipline.
• Coordinate with sales and client service teams to respond to RFPs.
