Job summary

Water Otter Job Board is seeking a Water and Wastewater Project Manager for municipal NJDEP projects in Parsippany, NJ. Hybrid role with 3 days onsite. You will own municipal water and wastewater projects from planning through construction and manage client relationships.

Requirements include a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 8+ years in water/wastewater consulting, NJ PE (or comity), and hands-on design experience. PFAS and asset management knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of water and wastewater consulting with ownership of scope, schedule, and budget.
• NJ PE, or PE elsewhere with comity (strong EIT with exam scheduled considered).
• Hands-on design experience: drawings, specs, BODRs, and permit applications.
• Working knowledge of NJDEP permitting.
• Client relationship and fee proposal experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage treatment, pump station, force main, distribution, and collection projects.
• Own scope, schedule, fee, and budget, including proposals.
• Direct the design team on drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Lead NJDEP coordination: TWAs, NJPDES, and water quality planning.
• Coordinate I-Bank, Water Bank, and SRF funding and mentor junior staff.
