Job summary

Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in Racine, WI to lead projects from planning through construction.

You will serve as the primary client contact, coordinate multi-office teams, and deliver design calculations and specifications with high quality and efficiency. You will independently manage project phases, resolve complex design challenges, and contribute to business development within an employee-owned firm known for client satisfaction and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Biological Systems, Mechanical, or Chemical).
• Minimum 7 years of water/wastewater project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of water/wastewater treatment, hydraulics, and regulatory approvals.
• Familiar with structural design concepts, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and related engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact and build positive relationships.
• Manage water and wastewater projects from planning through design and construction.
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
• Coordinate project tasks and communication across offices and teams.
• Resolve issues related to design requirements and specifications.
• Perform constructability reviews and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee detailed phases of engineering work.
