Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer for our Roanoke or Blacksburg, VA office. You will collaborate with project managers on preliminary engineering, design, and construction services to improve municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.

Essential duties include preparing design calculations and cost estimates, reviewing technical reports, and coordinating with subconsultants. A PE license in VA or eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
• Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design of water and wastewater systems.
• Prepare and review technical memoranda, engineering reports, drawings and contract documents.
