Job summary

Burgess & Niple is seeking a Water/Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer, PE, to join our Columbus, Ohio office. You will lead design efforts for water and wastewater facilities, guiding treatment processes, mechanical systems, and related infrastructure to meet stringent regulatory and budgetary requirements.

As a technical resource, you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to business development and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment or ability to be registered with reciprocity.
• 4–10 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment process design and facility engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities including treatment processes, mechanical systems, and associated infrastructure.
• Evaluate existing treatment systems and develop innovative solutions that meet regulatory, environmental, and budgetary requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external project teams on project delivery and permitting.
• Maintain quality control of plans, specifications, and deliverables.
• Build and maintain client relationships while participating in business development and proposal preparation.
