Job summary

Stantec's Houston, TX office is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join a multi-disciplinary water team. You will work on projects for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, including planning, design, and construction support.

As you gain experience, you will mentor interns and take on progressively complex tasks, with emphasis on hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, field observations, and collaboration with client teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, water resources, or environmental engineering.
• Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training in Houston.
• Strong foundation in developing/calibrating and interpreting hydraulic/hydrologic models.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to deliver engineering solutions for municipal water and wastewater clients.
• Perform analyses, prepare design drawings, and develop planning reports.
• Support design of pipelines, pump stations, and water/wastewater treatment systems.
• Mentor interns and junior team members as experience grows.
• Site visits and field observations as necessary.
