Job summary

Nemacolin seeks a Water & Wastewater Plant Operator to responsibly run treatment systems, monitor quality, and maintain records across a luxury resort campus in Pennsylvania. You will handle chemical management, operate pumps and valves, and respond to emergencies while ensuring regulatory readiness and safe practices.

The role emphasizes hands-on operation, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with resort teams, with a flexible schedule including evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a water/wastewater license (Class C or higher) with appropriate subclasses.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; related education or experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of water and wastewater plant operations, including treatment, sampling, testing, equipment maintenance, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Operate treatment systems, valves, pumps, and controls; monitor water quality and adjust processes.
• Conduct testing and sampling; interpret results and adjust chemical dosages; maintain records.
• Monitor wastewater flow and equipment; manage processes for filtration, aeration, settling, and sludge.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on plant equipment.
• Respond to emergencies; adapt to changing conditions and operational needs.
• Follow safety practices for hazardous materials and manage supplies and work orders.
