Job summary

Spear D Construction in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Plant & Treatment Superintendent to lead water and wastewater plant construction from mobilization through commissioning. You will supervise crews, coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and process systems, and ensure safety and on-schedule delivery.

Required 5–10 years in construction with water/wastewater plant work and at least 3 years in supervision; strong reading of plans and coordination of multiple trades are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of construction experience with water and wastewater plant work.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or superintendent experience.
• Strong background in civil construction, utilities, structural concrete, piping, and mechanical equipment installation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades on active job sites.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and construction best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects.
• Supervise field crews, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and quality standards.
• Coordinate installation of civil, structural, mechanical, and process systems.
• Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper execution.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and jobsite logistics.
• Conduct regular jobsite safety meetings and enforce OSHA policies.
• Identify and resolve field challenges to maintain project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and local codes.
