Job summary

Inframark is seeking an Operator in Training in the Houston area. The role trains candidates to operate pumps, valves and related equipment in water or wastewater facilities.

Responsibilities include routine testing, maintenance and documentation of plant performance, with after-hours emergency support. Requires a high school diploma or GED and a driving license; ability to obtain the Water/Wastewater Operator's License within a year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License; CDL preferred; ability to obtain Water/Wastewater Operator's License within one year.
• Basic knowledge of water/wastewater facilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work all shifts, including weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment and machinery including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, and disinfection equipment.
• Performs routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of production wells and unit processes; basic lab analyses.
• Documents plant performance, daily flow, chemical usage and dosage.
• Responds to calls and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment and instrumentation.
• Keeps facilities clean, neat and secure and contributes to customer service as needed.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays and 24-hour on-call.
• Day shift with once a month on-call and weekend coverage.
