Job summary

Inframark in Hull, Massachusetts, seeks a Wastewater Operator in Training to learn operating and maintaining pumps and related equipment in the plant. You will gain hands-on experience with valves, pumps, disinfectants and basic laboratory analyses while contributing to plant performance and safety.

This role offers a starting salary range of $26–$32 per hour depending on experience, with opportunities to obtain a Water/Wastewater Operator's License within one year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred).
• Ability to obtain Water/Wastewater Operator's License within one year.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of equipment and machinery including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, vehicles, etc.
• Conducts routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of production wells, water/wastewater unit processes and basic laboratory analyses.
• Performs and documents treatment process and maintenance of treatment facility equipment. Documents plant performance including daily flow, electrical and chemical usage and dosage.
• Responds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation and electrical support.
• Ensures facilities are clean, neat and secure.
• Provides customer service functions when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
