Job summary

Inframark in Union Springs, AL is seeking a Water-Wastewater Treatment Operator to monitor pumps and treatment systems, collect samples, and perform routine testing to ensure safe, compliant operations. You will maintain records, conduct basic lab work, and support preventive maintenance in a team-focused environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and Alabama Class 3 license preferred or the willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science preferred.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred for some locations.
• Valid Alabama Class 3 water or wastewater license/certification highly preferred, or willingness to obtain quickly.
• Previous water or wastewater experience required.
• Experience with SCADA systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pumps, valves, motors, disinfection systems, and other treatment equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Inspect equipment, collect samples, perform routine testing, and conduct basic lab analyses for quality and compliance.
• Record and maintain accurate operational data such as flow, chemical usage, and daily activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Respond promptly to issues and on-call incidents to restore service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
• Follow all safety policies, environmental regulations, and procedures.
