Job summary

Lake County Government's Public Works division administers water and wastewater systems for Lake County residents. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least one year of experience in water and/or wastewater treatment operation.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily logs of plant operations and flow recordings.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals and supplies.
• Operate and maintain public water supplies and sanitary sewer systems.
• Draw water samples for testing and conduct basic analyses.
• Investigate abnormal conditions and respond to complaints.
