Job summary

Envirolink in Durham, NC is seeking a Team Member to perform operations and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities for our clients. You will execute routine to complex technical tasks and ensure compliance with state regulations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reporting, and on-call duties. A high school diploma and 2–5 years of field experience are required, and NC certifications are preferred. On-site work and safety compliance are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• US Citizen. E-Verification required.
• No felonies or major misdemeanors.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in field operations programs.
• Prefer possession of two or more North Carolina water and wastewater certifications.
• Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
• Excellent communication skills with reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an open, collaborative, team-oriented work environment with peers, Leaders, Management, and team members.
• Act as the Operator in Responsible Charge for water/wastewater facilities and perform duties to properly maintain and repair systems under NC regulations.
• Coordinate with office and other departments to ensure timely completion of tasks and compliance reporting (DMRs, water usage reports, annual reports, etc.).
• Execute operations and maintenance activities at facilities including pumps, valves, meters, lift stations, and related equipment.
• Notify supervisor of interruptions, safety issues, or major equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collect samples according to monitoring plans and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
