Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Construction Office Engineer to support the delivery of water, wastewater, pipeline, and utility infrastructure across Nevada. You will work with construction managers, resident engineers, and client teams to keep projects moving safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The role requires a 4-year engineering-related degree, 5+ years in construction management or project controls, and the ability to travel to project sites throughout Nevada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, or project controls.
• Experience supporting water, wastewater, pipeline, utility, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, and construction documentation.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong organization, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Support construction management teams on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, and project documentation.
• Maintain project logs, records, and document control systems.
• Coordinate communication between owners, contractors, designers, and project stakeholders.
• Review schedules, monitor project progress, and support change management activities.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, correspondence, and project reports.
• Assist with cost tracking, quantity verification, and contractor pay applications.
• Support startup, commissioning, punch list, and project closeout efforts.
• Conduct periodic site visits and collaborate with field staff to resolve project issues.
