Job summary

HDR is offering a Summer 2027 internship with our Water Business Group focusing on Water/Wastewater in Dallas. You will gain real-world experience on exciting projects and connect with leaders through mentoring programs.

As an enrolled engineering student, you will apply standard engineering techniques under supervision, contributing to public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. This is a temporary, full-time summer role with opportunities to learn and grow.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Pursuing Civil, Environmental, or Biological & Agricultural Engineering degree for Summer 2027.
• Proficiency with standard software used in engineering and analysis.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference given to local/regional candidates pursuing a Civil, Environmental Engineering or Biological & Agricultural Engineering Degree during Summer 2027.
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
