Job summary

HDR, Inc. invites students to join its Water Business Group for a Summer 2027 internship focused on Water/Wastewater.

As part of an employee-owned culture, you will engage in real projects, receive mentorship, and work under professional supervision to apply engineering techniques on meaningful tasks. The internship targets students pursuing Civil, Environmental, or Biological & Agricultural Engineering, with GPA 3.0+ and local/regional availability.

• Attention to detail is essential.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills required.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference given to local/regional candidates pursuing a Civil, Environmental Engineering or Biological & Agricultural Engineering Degree during Summer 2027.
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
