Job summary

Jacobs in Houston is seeking an Integrated Design & Delivery Engineer to support the planning, design, and execution of water infrastructure projects with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

You will work with owners, engineers, contractors, and operators from project inception, applying IDD principles to optimize outcomes, mitigate risks, improve constructability, and enhance cost and schedule performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related Engineering.
• EIT certification is required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience or interest in water and wastewater systems.
• Understanding of collaborative delivery methods such as IPD or Design-Build.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Support development of treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and conveyance systems.
• Coordinate with design, construction, operations, and client teams to drive innovation and reduce risk.
• Prepare studies, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Utilize digital engineering tools to improve efficiency.
