Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is hiring a Utility Technician to perform day-to-day maintenance and repair of water distribution and wastewater support systems.

Working under the Area Supervisor, you will install, maintain, and repair meters, valves, and related equipment, and ensure safety and quality in operations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid US driver's license; a CDL must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• No previous experience is required; mechanical/electrical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs semi-skilled installation, maintenance and repair of valves, meters, gauges, pumps, and related equipment.
• Operates and maintains vehicles and equipment; loads/unloads materials at worksites.
• Reads meters and updates work orders; supports safety and housekeeping at facilities.
• Assists with additional tasks as needed and adheres to company policies.
