Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is hiring a Facility Operator in the Lake Palestine, TX area. The role supports water production facilities, wastewater treatment, lift stations, and the distribution system in a 24/7 operation.

You will perform maintenance, quality checks and operational adjustments to meet state standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and appropriate well licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow operating instructions.
• Able to perform calculations for dosages and ratios.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment at the assigned water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operates and maintains distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Maintains equipment at the wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operates and maintains sewer collection systems including collections mains and pump stations.
• Troubleshoots and repairs service piping and other related equipment.
• Performs routine water quality analysis in accordance with established processes and procedures.
• Makes operational adjustments to comply with water quality standards.
• Performs all tasks safely and per company policies and procedures.
