Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is hiring a Facility Operator to support water production facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and distribution systems. The role reports to the Field Supervisor and involves a variety of operational duties to ensure reliable water and wastewater services.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. Driver’s License, and a preference for licensed operators.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Strong preference for experienced and licensed water and/or wastewater operators.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates water production facilities and booster stations.
• Maintains wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operates and maintains distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Troubleshoots and repairs service piping and related equipment.
• Performs routine water quality analyses and adjusts treatment to meet standards.
• Completes customer service work orders and documents activities.
