B&B Concrete Contractors in Louisville, KY seeks an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to plan and develop accurate, competitive estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You’ll collaborate with operations, review plans, and lead estimating through handoff to the project team.

The role requires evaluating scope, constructability, risk, and cost, with strong skills in takeoffs, cost analysis, and vendor proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating water/wastewater construction projects.
• Ability to read plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil.

Responsabilités

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, process piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate project phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead estimating-to-project-team handoffs.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to help set projects up for successful execution.
