Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to join our team in Texas. You will build accurate, competitive estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, partnering with operations and project management from bid through handoff.

You will evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost for self-performed work and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure complete coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating water and wastewater construction projects.
• Strong reading of plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Self-performed work for structural concrete and heavy civil construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals; ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify risks, opportunities, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and handoffs to the project team.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout after award.
• Partner with operations to set projects up for successful execution.
