B&B Concrete in Plano, TX is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to pursue and plan water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will develop accurate, competitive estimates and collaborate with operations and project management from bid through handoff.

You will evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost beyond takeoffs; manage self-performed work, read plans and specs, run takeoffs, and coordinate with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience estimating water and/or wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.
• Strong reading of plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Evaluate project phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead estimating-to-project-team handoffs.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to help set projects up for successful execution.
