Job summary

Charles County Government is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician II to perform water and wastewater system maintenance. You will work under the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, assisting skilled mechanics and maintaining records in the INFOR system.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. Position may require on-call duties and working overtime in a safety-sensitive environment with potential exposure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Subject to on-call and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain water/wastewater machinery at facilities.
• Clean, lubricate, and replace components; perform oil changes.
• Install new or modified machinery and equipment.
• Transport tools and materials to work sites.
• Connect and disconnect electrical power as needed.
• Monitor SCADA alarms and maintenance data in INFOR system.
• Maintain maintenance records in computerized system.
