What We're Looking For

Barge Design Solutions is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Manager in Nashville or Knoxville. This role involves managing technical disciplines or market practice areas, coordinating with Project Managers to assign resources, and ensuring the utilization and billability of direct reports. The position includes working on complex projects and serving as a technical design lead and manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage a technical area or discipline, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting employee initiatives.
• Provide technical consulting and input on proposals and project plans.
• Lead portions of larger projects or smaller complex projects.
• Review operational procedures, specifications, drawings, and reports, providing feedback or completing these as needed.
• Design components or processes on complex projects, or complete projects and systems on conventional projects.
• Ensure project documentation is completed and attend meetings to present engineering aspects.
• Work to reduce project costs and develop positive client and team relationships.
• Support strategic planning and manage a team of employees, including talent management and mentoring roles.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years of engineering experience; PE registration required.
• Strong knowledge in Water/Wastewater practices and procedures.
• Ability to stay informed of new methods, collaborate effectively, and manage teams.
