Job summary

Hazen And Sawyer in Rochester, NY, is seeking summer, fall, or year-round interns for water-related assignments across drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and/or conveyance projects.

You will work within CAD/BIM, civil, electrical, HVAC/plumbing/fire protection, instrumentation and controls, process mechanical, structural, or architectural disciplines and engage with design teams from studies through construction visits.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Bachelor's/Master’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in group settings; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Participate in fieldwork and site visits; capable of outdoor work in varied conditions.
• Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, sampling studies, and design reports.
• Work with engineering teams and receive mentoring to learn and develop.
• Manage data for process modeling and design; coordinate with manufacturers and vendors.
• Support multiple projects from planning through construction.
