Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc is seeking an Engineering Intern to work out of our Homestead, PA office. The internship offers up to 40 hours per week for about a 3-month duration, with potential for additional schedules.

You will assist in water/wastewater process and pipeline design projects for private and municipal clients, support Civil Engineering design and calculations, and help prepare plans using Autodesk Civil 3D. This is an entry-level opportunity to grow in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Good skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with drafting programs, particularly AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Assist in water/wastewater process and pipeline design projects for private and municipal clients.
• Assist in Civil Engineering design and calculations for water, wastewater, and stormwater components of Land Development projects.
• Participate in technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans.
• Fill out and complete permit applications for processing.
• Field work may include water sampling, site inspection, and construction administration support including field observation reports.
• Prepare plans utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D.
