GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern to work from our Homestead or Cranberry, PA offices.

This temporary full-time internship lasts approximately 3 months and offers hands-on experience in transportation and transit projects under senior engineers. The candidate should be enrolled in a civil or structural engineering program, possess basic skills in Word/Excel, and be willing to learn Microstation and AutoCAD.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree Engineering program at a college/university.
• Must have good skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with drafting programs (Bentley Microstation and AutoCAD) is preferred.
• Willingness to learn new programs and skills in concrete and steel design.

Aufgaben

• Assist in structural design projects for transportation and transit clients.
• Assist in highway, drainage, and traffic design and calculations for transportation and transit projects.
• Participates in technical report writing, quantity and cost estimate development, preparation of specifications, and development of structural drawings.
• Field work may include bridge inspection and field documentation.
