Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Newport News, VA office. The role involves supporting water and sewer modeling, facility evaluation, design, and construction administration on current projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, 0–4 years of water/wastewater design experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or Bentley MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 0-4 years of water/wastewater design experience
• Understanding of or experience designing water and wastewater facilities including pipelines, pumping systems, and treatment systems
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Bentley MicroStation and water distribution and sewer modeling software a plus
• Relevant internship experience required for new graduates
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others
• Passing grade on the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or EIT preferred

We are currently seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Newport News, VA office. Responsibilities will include water and sewer modeling, water and wastewater facility evaluation, design, and construction administration.

The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 - $125,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
