Position Overview

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Training. The focus will be on water/wastewater projects including supply, conveyance, treatment, and disposal.

Responsibilities

• Support field investigations or assessments.
• Perform design engineering calculations.
• Assist in the design of various types of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Provide data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate in writing and production of project reports.
• Take direction, guidance, and mentorship of senior engineers.
• Advance a project from inception to construction, through various stages of design and construction by adhering to timeframes and deadlines.

Essential Job Requirements

• Willing and able to travel to project sites as necessary.
• Practical and technical written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in and support a team environment.
• High level of independence, confidence, and strong work ethic.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to apply fundamental engineering principles.
• Familiarity with engineering software for design and analytical analysis.
• Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles focused around hydraulic and environmental engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with development of technical reports, engineering plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.

Required Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field (Masters of Science preferred), from an EAC/ABET‑Accredited college or university.
• EIT Certification (passed or ability to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam).
• Ability to obtain a Professional Engineering (PE) License following completion of required work experience.

Salary

Annual salary range: $75,000+ depending on experience.
