Ideal candidates will hold a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, pursue EIT, and be prepared to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or ability to pass FE exam.
• Ability to obtain PE license after required work experience.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and environmental engineering concepts.
• Experience with technical reports, plans, specs, and cost estimates.

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Training to join our team. The position will focus primarily on water/wastewater related projects, including but not limited to supply, conveyance, treatment, and disposal. Essential Job Requirements:

• Willing and able to travel to project sites as necessary.
• Practical and Technical written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in and support a team environment.
• High level of independence, confidence, and strong work ethic.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply fundamental engineering principles.
• Familiarity with engineering software for design and analytical analysis.
• Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles focused around hydraulic and environmental engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with development of technical reports, engineering plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support field investigations or assessments.
• Perform design engineering calculations.
• Assist in the design of various types of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Provide data collection, analysis, ad reporting.
• Participate in writing and production of project reports.
• Take direction, guidance, and mentorship of senior engineers.
• Advance a project from inception to construction, through various stage of design and construction by adhering to timeframes and deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field (Masters of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred.) from an EAC/ABET -Accredited college or university.
• EIT Certification (i.e. Passed (or have the ability to pass) Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam)
• Ability to obtain a Professional Engineering (PE) License following completion of required work experience.

Annual Salary Range: $75,000 + Depending on Experience
