Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an engineer to support water and wastewater projects in Massachusetts. The role involves assisting project managers, performing technical engineering tasks, and preparing reports and designs for public infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has a Civil or Environmental engineering background with coursework or experience in water systems, is proficient with Office tools, and may hold an EIT. Hydraulics modeling experience is a plus as is AutoCAD Civil 3D familiarity.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in water/wastewater or related field
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred
4–7 years of experience in water & wastewater or related civil engineering projects
Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
Familiar with hydraulic system analysis models
Must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with engineering design for water and wastewater facilities.
Perform technical engineering work on water and wastewater projects.
Prepare engineering reports and feasibility studies.
Develop hydraulic models and perform analyses.
Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles.
Complete permitting applications.
Attend meetings with officials, engineers, and contractors.
Support project lifecycle planning, evaluation, design, permitting, and construction.
Support rehabilitation of aging infrastructure and water/wastewater systems.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies on projects.
