Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. in Washington is seeking a Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Engineer to join our Water and Environment team. You will perform planning and design for water and wastewater systems, with emphasis on reliability, sustainability, and regulatory coordination.

The role supports project delivery, mentoring junior staff, and collaboration with drafters and engineers. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an EIT are required, with PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; EIT required; PE preferred or ability to obtain.
• 4–8 years of experience in civil engineering with exposure to water and wastewater system design.
• Experience supporting municipal water/wastewater projects and familiarity with public agency standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform planning and design for water and wastewater infrastructure systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, and specifications; assist with permitting and regulatory coordination.
• Contribute to project delivery including scope, schedule, and budget adherence; mentor junior staff.
