Summary

Sambatek is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing team. You will join a talented group that is completing exciting and challenging projects for a wide range of clients. The team has built significant momentum across a variety of services and project types. We are looking for the right person to increase our experience and capacity, so we can capitalize on our strong momentum.

Responsibilities
  • Support municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects
  • Develop construction documents, specifications, technical reports, and memos
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet project goals and deadlines
  • Define project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements
  • Support management of scope, schedule, and budget for projects
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with project proposals and client management
  • Travel as required for meetings or site visits
  • Coordinate with municipal and regulatory agencies for plan review and approvals
  • Maintain communication with clients regarding project progress
  • Establish and help achieve project QA/QC goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering related to municipal and/or industrial systems
  • Strong self-motivation, communication, leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, managing multiple tasks with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in process improvements for water and wastewater treatment
  • Project experience in infrastructure design and construction oversight
  • Technical skills in analysis and design of water/wastewater systems
  • Experience with large infrastructure projects involving sewers, watermains, and pumping stations
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage project tasks and timelines independently
  • Experience with bidding, construction administration, RFIs, and change management
  • Participation in design and construction meetings
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Primarily office work
  • Occasional movement of equipment up to 10 pounds
